Chicken Coops:

http://www.omlet.us/homepage/
Wonderful pre-fab chicken coops that can not only protect your ladies but save your marriage too! :) made by Omlet. So very well designed and your honey won't have to spend 6 weekends in a row building a coop for you.
We have had the "classic eglu"  (not sold anymore) for years now and love it.  We have 4 hens and eggs have never tasted better!

Organic Lawn Care:

see "www.grassrootsinfo.org"
A great handout to be seen at  http://www.grassrootsinfo.org/pub/greencard.pdf  (zoom out once so you can read it)
I only recommend organic methods of lawn care, please do not put more chemicals out there into our world,+  into our kids.

Bees:

Our local bee store is To Bee or not too Bee, right here in NW Denver! They have amazing selection of hives and gear, sources for you to order local bee packages, and even classes. And stylish big white suits you can wear.

Vegetable Raised Beds:

I love Sunset Magazine and here's a link to their great article on building raised beds:

while you are there check out the rest of the site, loads of great ideas and info!

Eating Local?   YES!!!

Great magazine to read : Edible Frontrange
You can pick it up for free at Savory Spice shop or at Vitamin Cottage

Boulder Farmer's Market, any farmer's market is a great resource for well...buying local food. Boulder's is awesome because it is a "growers market" which means that they sell what they grow, they don't bring in watermelons from out of state. And that's the whole point right?

CSA: stands for Community Supported Agriculture but you already knew that. We've been members of Monroe Farm CSA for years and they are awesome. I have friends who are members at Grant Family Farm CSA and with the DUG DeLaney Farm CSA. There are quite a few to be found in and around Denver, they are a great way to buy local organic produce from a family farm and get a community to boot!
